REVISED TRAVEL SCHEDULES FOR RETURN TO AUSTRALIA

REVISED FLIGHT SCHEDULES FOR RETURN TO AUSTRALIA

Australian citizens and permanent residents wishing to return to Australia via Auckland will now be able to obtain a connecting flight within 24 hours. Air New Zealand will depart Tonga for Auckland on Wednesdays at 1800 hrs. The connecting red zone flight from Auckland to Sydney will depart Auckland on Thursdays at 0900 hrs. As a result, Australian citizens and permanent residents using this connection will no longer need to apply to the New Zealand Government for a place in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ). Passengers in transit will need to remain in the transit area of Auckland airport between flights.

Australian citizens do not require transit visa for New Zealand. Permanent residents of Australia will need to obtain a transit visa for New Zealand.
