Passports
Applications for Australian passports can be lodged at the Australian High Commission in Nuku’alofa. Application forms can be collected from the reception desk. Passport applications can also be lodged online through the Australian Passports Office Website.
What you need to know before you lodge
You must present original documents to support your application. They will be copied and returned to you on the spot.
Your passport photos will be checked to ensure they are of an acceptable standard.
To complete lodgement, you will be asked to pay the relevant passport fees:

Passport processing times
Passports are processed on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:30am – 4pm.
Please apply for your passport well ahead of your proposed travel date.
You should allow approximately six weeks to receive your passport once your application has been lodged.
Incomplete applications will not be processed until all required documentation has been received.
